About Us:
PLSCA is a California 501c(3) corporation and is the brainchild of Patricia Lloyd who originated the idea and held her first concert at San Joaquin Delta College in September 1990. From the beginning the purpose of
PLSCA has been to raise funds to assist students who go away to four-year colleges or universities. In our
first year PLSCA assisted one student. As additional funds became available the number of students was
increased. Since it's inception PLSCA has assisted 51 students in completing their education, which does not
Include those scheduled to graduate this year. During the 2010 - 2011 school year we are providing assistance to
twenty (20) students.
PLSCA has funded it's scholarship program through quarterly musicals and an annual concert usually held in
September. This year as we celebrate our eighteenth anniversary PLSCA wants to expand our efforts and raise
additional money so that we can 1) provide more assistance to our current students and 2) increase the number of students to whom we provide assistance.
Since its inception PLSCA has assisted over 40 students complete their education, which does not include
those scheduled to graduate this year. During the current school year we are providing assistance to
twenty-one (21) students.
Board of Directors:
PLSCA is comprised of a Board of Directors who ensure that the organization continues to function within its
set goals, vision and budget.
